Proposed zoning change

A request has been made to rezone property near 400 East 300 North from Residential Agriculture (RA) to Residential (R-2) for a low- to medium-density Planned Unit Development with varied lot sizes, common area, and community green space.

What could this change mean for the land and our community?

TIME CRITICAL

Our Rural Roots Matter

Hyrum’s open fields, farms, and agricultural heritage are more than just undeveloped land they are part of the character of our community and the reason many people choose to call Hyrum home.

Once agricultural land is rezoned and developed, that open space is gone forever! Decisions made today can permanently change the rural landscape, increase demands on roads, water, schools, city services, and shape what Hyrum looks and feels like for future generations.

Protecting Hyrum’s rural character starts with paying attention to the decisions being made today.

"Hyrum's rural setting is why my family moved here. "
